Welcome to Lion tours. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our mobile applications—including the Lion tours passenger app and the Lion tours driver app (collectively, the “Apps”)—operated by Lion tours (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using our Apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Account Registration & User Types
- Passenger Accounts: You must provide accurate registration details (name, email, phone number). You are responsible for all activities conducted under your account.
- Driver Accounts: Drivers must possess a valid Sri Lankan driver’s license, commercial transport permits, vehicle insurance, and clean driving records. We reserve the right to suspend any driver account failing to meet regulatory standards.
2. Mandatory App Permissions
- Location Services: Passengers grant location access during booking sessions. Drivers explicitly grant continuous location tracking (including background location while online) to receive dispatches and enable passenger navigation.
- Overlay & Notification Permissions: Drivers agree to grant the “Draw Over Apps” permission to receive incoming trip request overlays over other apps. All users consent to receiving push notifications related to trip dispatches and account updates.
3. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity or driver credentials.
- Manipulate, spoof, or falsify GPS location data.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the security or code of the Apps.
- Engage in disruptive, abusive, or unlawful behavior during tours or rides.
4. Payments and Fares
- Fares for tours and rides are calculated based on distance, duration, or agreed fixed tour rates.
- Passengers agree to pay all applicable charges incurred for completed trips.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Apps are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Lion tours is not liable for indirect damages, travel delays, cellular network failures, or GPS inaccuracies beyond our reasonable control.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
